The best option to travel from Delhi to Bali is by taking a flight. Delhi to Bali distance is around 5000 kilometers by air and 8500 km by road. Being the capital city of India, Delhi is well connected to different parts of the world. Similarly, Bali, being the most popular holiday destination in Indonesia, enjoys good connectivity with many other countries. For those, who are wondering as to how to reach Bali from New Delhi, then given below is the description of various modes of transportation one can opt for:

By Air: The aerial distance from New Delhi to Bali is 5100 km away and is the best travel option for a trip to Bali from Delhi. There are many international and domestic flights connecting Delhi to Bali by air. A direct flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport to Ngurah Rai International Airport (nearest airport to Bali) will take about 9 hours. The rates will be much affordable if the tickets are booked 2 to 3 months in advance.

By Rail: - Travelling from New Delhi to Bali (Indonesia) on rail is not possible. Although Delhi enjoys excellent rail connectivity with all cities in India, it is impossible to travel from New Delhi to Bali by rail. First of all, Bali is an island that has no railway station of its own. Secondly, it is virtually impossible to travel to a lot of outside India through rail from Delhi. The best option that one has is to take a train from Delhi to Cochin and then take a flight from there, as the aerial distance is comparatively less, and the airfares are also on the lower side as compared to anywhere else in India.

 

By Road: A road trip from Delhi to Bali can be very tedious and tiring. The route that one has to follow in order to reach Bali is Delhi – Myanmar – Thailand – Malaysia - Indonesia. The Delhi to Bali (Indonesia) distance by road is around 8500 km. The route is not direct as Bali is an island. One has to take a ferry from Singapore to Jakarta and then reach Bali which is approximately 1200 km from there. All the documents and the visas of countries make the trip very expensive, and the time taken is going to be more than a week.

We are overall happy with the knowledge and experience we had but just to highlight few points..Cheaper hotels were suggested initially. Travel agent arranged the itinerary well however we realised improvements could have been done after discussing with local guides for a better personalized experience. Car and driver were very good. First stay was great . Second hotel stay was very horrible. Third resort stay was good but they didn't have a good breakfast options for vegetarian people. All in all experience was a 7 by 10. The dolphin interaction we requested was included in the itinerary and we were happy about that. We were happy with the car and driver..

Bad things: The hotel we stayed in Kuta was not that good. Water sports booked were not good. Complementary lunch provided in Nusa penida was really bad. There was slight miscommunication with the driver regarding his pickup and drop to Nusa penida. Good things: Customer service by the travel agency was really good. Mr. Avishek was really supportive and responded to all our needs. Stay in Penida and Ubud was really good. Best thing about the trip was Ubud >Penida.
