There are no trains from Mumbai to Ladakh route. The only possible way to travel is to take a train from Mumbai to Jammu Tawi, the nearest station to Ladakh takes about 30 hours. From here one can take a cab or a bus to Ladakh which is about 709 Kilometres. 

Mumbai To Ladakh By Flight: Ladakh is growing immensely popular as a tourist destination and hence efforts are being made to develop tourism towards this destination. There are direct flights to Leh Ladakh from a number of places including Mumbai. GoAir and SpiceJet operate flights from Mumbai to Ladakh which covers the distance of around 1736 kilometers. Since there are no direct flights the stopover flights tale from 6 to 9 hours depending on the number of layovers. 

 

 

Mumbai to Ladakh By Road: If you are planning to cover the distance from Mumbai to Ladakh by road, you will have to prepare yourself to stretch a little as the drive is long and can be strenuous. The trip from Mumbai to Ladakh by road on a bike can be strenuous but highly rewarding. It could take you about 5 to 6 days and is certainly a great drive if you have a group traveling with you. Thanks Travel Triangle and Lazy Travels to organize such a smooth trip.. trip experience was good and it was organized properly. Our Cab driver Mr. Mingur was a experience and good driver. there were few things to mention here is 1) sand dunes hotel at Nubra. they have some serious hot water issues. the owner talked to me and changed some tap settings to restore hot water in our taps. but we have to remind him 3-4 times in our 2 nights stay..it was bit uncomfortable. Below ratings is not for Sand Dunes hotel .. but or other two.

The trip was overall nice. Hotels were good except at one place could be better. The Bike vendor was not a supportive person. One place in Itinerary could have been better, when we realized it was too late. The travel guide should have given that option earlier. Overall nice experience but could have been the best. The travel experience was really good. The place was amazing. Travel agent kept the permits and things ready. Hotels were really good except for the stay in Tso Moriri it was changed last minute and even the travel agent was not informed about the same. This is why one less star to the travel.agents. it is their duty to check a day prior with the hotels about the booking of their customers.
