How to Reach Kashmir from Bangalore

Kashmir’s ethereal charm brings travellers from as far south as Bangalore. The road distance between Bangalore and Srinagar is nearly 2,960 km. The best way to reach Kashmir from Bangalore is by air. However, depending on your budget and time you can take any of the following options.

 

By Air: Stop wondering how to reach Kashmir from Bangalore as taking a flight is the quickest way possible to visit the Valley. Kempegowda International Airport (BLR), located about 40 km north of the city, serves as a hub for domestic flights in Karnataka. Nonstop flights between Srinagar and Bangalore are offered by IndiGo airlines. Jammu can be reached from Bangalore via connecting flights from New Delhi.

 

By Rail: Shri Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK) Suvidha Express is the direct train between Bangalore and Jammu. The train takes minimum 54 hours to reach its destination. Alternate options include taking a Rajdhani train or a flight from Bangalore to Delhi and then taking train/bus or renting a car to reach Jammu.

 

 

By Road: A traveller on road would have to pass through as much as eight states and cover 2,960 km to reach Srinagar. Travellers looking to save time would be better off taking a flight or train to at least Delhi, if not till Jammu. Regular buses and rented cars run between Delhi and Srinagar.

Booked Kashmir trip through travel triangle. Emaar was the travel agency that arranged our trip. Everything went well finally so nothing to complain. Zainab was the trip agent assigned to us. She was very helpful and accommodating. She was connected with us through-out the trip to check how it is going for us. There were some issues with hotel booking initially but that was sorted. Hotels that were initially selected and quoted for weren't available after a day. Luckily, alternate hotels offered turned out to be good except in Pahalgam. During peak tourist season, it's difficult to trust their words on hotels availability. Need to be a little careful before making advance payment. It was a good experience overall. I would recommend Emaar to anyone planning trip to Kashmir.

Firstly, the accommodation provided was quite far from the main sightseeing points. This resulted in excessive travel time and added inconvenience during our trip. It would be beneficial to consider accommodations that are closer to the key attractions to enhance the overall experience for travelers. Additionally, I noticed that some of the local services and experiences arranged through your agency were priced at a premium, comparable to rates charged to foreign visitors. It would be advantageous for your agency to establish partnerships with local providers to ensure fair and reasonable pricing for travelers, thus enhancing the value proposition of your packages. Overall, I believe addressing these points would significantly improve the quality of service offered by your agency and enhance the satisfaction of travelers like myself. The Trip was very good. but due to the weather conditions we missed some of the points. But rest of the travel was good. Our driver was extremely good, inspite of the issue with katra bypass, he managed to drop us to katra before the expected time. Good Hotel selection. Farah is very good travel advisor. Driver Imtiyaz was good. There were issues with food in hotel but we managed it. Houseboat was very neat and clean. Food at houseboat was delicious.Thank you Farah for making trip wonderful. I will surely recommend Hermosa tours (operated by Farah) for Kashmir. Horse ride in Pahelgam, Gondola ride in Gulmarg and house boat in Nigeen lake.

I booked an 8 days, 7 nights package of Kashmir with hermosa travels through travel triangle. From the beginning Hermosa representative was very proactive and courteous in her support. Janat from hermosa quickly created the plan and was in constant touch to tweak and improve the itinerary according to the needs of me and my family that includes small kids. She give me over 7-8 different options, multiple hotel choices and she was very helpful in ensuring our needs were met while also suggesting her own improvements based on her local experience. The booking, quotes etc was very smooth. Janat reminded us on time to book the Gulmarg gondola's which are limited. Farah also from Hermosa then ensured our travel was smooth and everything was taken care of. During our trip, we rarely had to call Hermosa for anything as everything was arranged and planned really well. The driver (Iqbal) was amazing and flexible to our needs. He gave good suggestions and ensured we did not fall into the trap of guides or other tourist frenzies in each location. Overall the complete experience with Hermosa was amazing starting with booking, hotels, cab to the arrangements at the hotels as well.
