St Kilda, Melbourne (Australia)

From being the home of Victorian elites in the colonial era to the hub of expressional subcultures during post-war era like bohemianism, St Kilda is now a major suburban tourist neighborhood, only 6 km south of CBD area. Many parts of this area still retain the remembrance of the rich St Kilda history, like Acland Street and its Victorian cafes and boutiques. St Kilda of Melbourne is mostly characterized by a large seafront view of Port Phillip Bay, beautiful beaches, palm-lined streets, gorgeous sunsets, great restaurants, bars, cafes and places to shop.

Attractions of St Kilda:

St Kilda is home to some of Melbourne’s famous attractions. Luna Park is a lovely theme park with rides like the Ghost Train, Spider, Twin Dragon, Pharaoh’s Curse, a carousel dating back to 1913 and the Scenic Railway – world’s oldest continually operating roller coaster. St Kilda Beach is Melbourne’s most popular, spreading for around 700 meters of warm sand between St Kilda Marina and St Kilda Harbour. The serene bay-front beach is a heaven for the swimmers, sunbathers, walkers, and joggers, as well as kite-surfers, windsurfers, and jet skiers. Watching the sunset over the Pier and seeing small penguins making their way back to their sandy nests at sundown are two of the best St Kilda things to do. Acland Street and Fitzroy Streets are home to numerous bars, cafes and restaurants, and the Esplanade area is for the shoppers. For the adventurers at heart, there is a 15000m tandem skydive opportunity here. You can glide your way over Port Phillip Bay and land at St Kilda beach without any hassle.

St. Kilda Beach Market:

St. Kilda Beach Market is a happening place to shop for unique handicrafts and other souvenirs. Artisans, craftsmen, and designers participate in large numbers to deliver varieties in stuff to the buyers who are willing to purchase. There are a total of around 100 stalls here from where one can buy home decor, jewelry, textiles, etc at affordable prices. Besides shopping, the market is also famous for a variety of eatery stalls which serves various authentic dishes.

Neeraj's 7 days trip to Melbourne

Really satisfied with the trip! All the hotels provided had pretty good location. Rohit from Hubholiday was very active throughout all stages of the trip, right from planning the itinerary to the very end . We planned our entire itinerary during late hours and Rohit was happily available to receive calls during those odd hours mostly after 12 midnight! Execution was as good as the planning. These guys , Rohit and Prashant, were available for queries throughout the trip. They entertained even the last minute changes. Overall an excellent trip to a beautiful country!

Sachin's 10 days trip to Melbourne

We did not like the arrangements at all. They could have been much better planned and executed if they would have thought about their customers even a bit. After hundreds of calls, messages and emails from my husband, the final vouchers were handed to us 8 hours before our flight.. we did not even have time to take a careful look at them.. The sightseeing tours were not selected thoughtfully. Most of the sightseeings were at max 1.5 hours long and repititive like the Skydeck in Melbourne, Skypoint in Gold coast, Harbour cruise in Sydney, etc.. and then the entire day was left free, which is good for some days but not all days which was the case with us. Better sightseeing tours should have been planned. We had to book several additional sightseeing tours on Viator.com so as to be able to experience Australia.. If we would have followed only the itinerary prepared by the agent, we wouldn't even have seen a Kangaroo or Koala Bear even after spending so much money and staying for 10 days in Australia.. It was evident that the cheapest of sightseeing tours available were booked for us, for example, the cruise in Sydney was an hour long and consisted of us just sitting on a ferry and seeing the harbour without anyone telling us what we are seeing.. It was a complete waste of time, we got much more information while riding on Ferries for our visit to the zoo that we booked separately.. No pickups from our Hotels were arranged even when complimentary pickups were available with the tours booked.. No directions were provided to us regarding where to reach and how.. No information on local transport available and how to travel was provided.. We know how Google Maps work and therefore got to the specified locations, however, any aged or not so tech savvy travellers would have missed their tours repeatedly.. It was a total chaos. On top of all that, this was my husband's birthday trip and he had told this to the agent several times, but they were not even courteous enough to book us a cake.. The agent wished a very Happy Birthday to my husband on Whatsapp though.. The rooms booked for us in Sydney didn't have complimentary breakfast and were so small that there was hardly any space to stand apart from the queen bed that was provided to the 2 of us.. The upgrades were available starting at just Rs. 1500 per night but they booked us the cheapest option so that they could pocket as much money as possible.. We felt cheated time and again during the entire trip. We will never travel with HubHolidays again and would suggest others too not to make that mistake..

Jayesh's 8 days trip to Melbourne

We booked the flight tickets from HubHolidays. Yeeshu and Prashant handled our booking pretty well. Yeeshu was extremely proactive in checking flight tickets for us. For about a week or so he kept checking tickets until we got the best one. He kept the tickets on hold for us when he found appropriate and low fare flight for us and we did the bookings in no time. I couldn't have got that rates by myself. This included the travel insurance and VISA assistance as well. VISA assistance (Pawan and Team) also amazingly handled and we had no problem whatsoever. The sightseeing options provided were also good and at comparable rates but we wanted to see them at our leisure at the destination itself. In all, it was a great experience for us and would recommend to check them out while planning a trip. Shout out to Yeeshu again for handling our booking well. :)

Mail's 15 days trip to Melbourne

We got a wonderful arrangements from HubHoliday. Amit took real pain for planning our itinerary, which was very well executed. Prashant's efforts for co-ordinating with us during our trip were commendable. They were responsive even at 3am. The best part was knowledge that both Amit & Prashant had. The sightseeing tours were selected very thoughtfully & they gave us accurate information about our trips, for maximum coverage. Since I was there for my honeymoon, they ensured that I get plenty of leisure time while covering all major viewpoints. I will definitely travel with HolidayHub again and the future.
