The sprawling capital of the Maldivian archipelago, Malé island, Maldives, is located in the Kaafu Atoll. It is quite urbanized and heavily built up. Snorkeling off the coast of Malé and submarine trips are popular attractions and visitors even carry approved food into the submarine to attract sea-life and get a closer look. A walk along the pier is a must on a visit here and the busy ports will always give one something interesting to watch.

Things To Do at Male Island

There are many things to do at Male Island that can make a vacation to this exotic destination worthwhile. One could head to the Old Friday Mosque known as Hukuru Miskiy at Male Island to explore the history of the tropical destination. This is the oldest mosque in the Maldives that is quite famous for its architecture and design. One can also go swimming at the Artificial Beach that looks no less than a natural beach. It is hard to even notice the difference. The water at this crescent-shaped beach is shallow making it perfect for a nice swim. The local fish market at Male Island can also be checked out to get the local feel and vibe.

Our experience with travel triangle contact Naushad was very bad to say the least. Once the initial payment was complete, he was totally non responsive and unbelievably rude. Every single message on WhatsApp needed multiple followups for response. Very rarely call was picked up and answered on the first attempt. He was not only rude to me but to all the fellow ladies who were travelling with me. He even went to the extent of rudely asking if it was the first time we were travelling abroad. I am an IT professional travelling abroad to UK, US etc multiple times for work. I have travelled to places like Italy and Thailand through travel agents for vacation. I have never ever had such a bad experience. The worst experience was the itinerary said all the entry tickets were covered only to realise that we had to pay for every single place in srilanka. When asked we were told it was a typo and had to be considered under exclusion. But once we reached srilanka, our guide Sameer changed the whole perspective for us. He was not only very respectful, but also patient throughout our 6 day trip. He showed us all the important places and took photos. Research, take your time, read reviews and decide. Do not worry if the chosen resort has last room as claimed by agent, you will have many other option even 7 days before and you might get room in same as well. Choose natural islands over man made ones. We chose resort which was built over deserted island and was very hot. Get into water only if you are sure about the depth and you are swimmer. Compare quotes with other travel agents and chose. Agents don't have much to do while booking for Maldives, they can only help you do the booking. Apart from that maldives experience is world famous. We also had good experience.
