Fort Siloso Museum, Clementi (Singapore)

Built in the 19th century, Fort Siloso is the perfect embodiment of Singapore’s rich military culture and the effect the Japanese had on its way of life and war. Originally built for the protection of the island from intruders brought by the sea, Fort Siloso in Singapore later became an important part of the independence struggle. During World War II, the Japanese invaded Singapore and the guns inside the fort were forced by the British to fire towards the mainland and changed the course of Fort Siloso History. Many lives were lost since there was no protection for the soldiers on the ground. To give tribute to all those who fought in the battle, there is a museum now in the Fort Siloso in Clementi. 

Attractions of Fort Siloso: It has been 70 years since the dreadful WWII but Fort Siloso and the Fort Siloso Museum remain on the Fort Siloso Beach. The Fort Siloso Skywalk is the best way to start the Fort Siloso Tour. Fort Siloso is a free establishment with no entry fee where you can enjoy the Heritage Walk or Gun Trail which make up the Fort Siloso Indoor Maze. The Fort Siloso Surrender Chambers are the most visited part of Fort Siloso Sentosa. It is able to transport you to the era of WWII and the infamous Japanese Invasion using the high-quality sound, light and video effects. While here, remember to pay a visit to Fort Siloso in Sentosa Island.

    I chose Travel Triangle because someone suggested me. I heard good reviews for them. I agree but upto a certain extent. Before booking, they will call you or reach out to you 10 times a day but once booking is done they don't care whether they reply in one day, two days or three days. There were cer
    tain things for which I had to chase them but was not satisfied with their answers. They will provide you an itinerary at the time of booking, you will plan your trip according to that but just 2 days before they will shuffle everything and will say it is what it is. My flight was supposed to land at 8:15 in the morning and the hotel check in was at 2:00 PM. Earlier they assured that I will get an early check in but two days before they said it's upon availability. Check in is at 2:00 PM and they scheduled a sight seeing pickup at 2:30 PM sharp because it is what it is. Before booking i was promised that the hotel serves Jain meal but the hotel clearly denied about that upon reaching there. I was told that the hotel is 4 star but it didn't seemed to be. The superior size room was way too smaller for 3 people. Food was not at all good at the property. I would really appreciate the ground team for all the arrangements they did. I would say that overall experience was good but you need to be very much sure about everything before booking because after that they will say It is what it is as if they don't care about our concern.
