London Eye Ride (England)

London Eye is the giant Ferris wheel which is located near River Thames of London, England. This huge wheel which promises the beautiful view of London was designed by the popular architects Mark Sparrowhawk, Malcolm Cook, Steve Chilton, Nic Bailey, Julia Barfield, David Marks, and Frank Anatole. The Design of the enormous wheel is similar to a huge bicycle wheel that has got a central hub and the spindle connected to the outer and the inner rims of the cable spokes. It is more than 200 times larger compared to the average sized bike wheel. A ride on the London eye is marvelous from the structure which is 135 meters tall and with the wheel that has the diameter of about 120 meters.

Details of London Eye

More than 1700 tons of the steel was used in the construction along with 3000 tons of the concrete used for foundations. Each of the 32 capsules weighs about 10 tons and carries about 25 people. The wheel rotates at the speed of 26 centimeters per second in such a way that a revolution can take about 30 minutes. The wheel does not stop for taking on the passenger but the rate of the rotation is slow enough for allowing passengers to walk on and off moving capsules at the ground level. One can move around in the capsule or can sit in the chairs available. The construction of the glass capsules is such that it allows the passengers to enjoy 360 degrees London view.

London Eye is one of the most iconic and spectacular structures in London. It gives magnificent views of the city about 40 km away. One gets to catch the view of House of Parliament, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, St. Pauls Cathedral, Tate Museum, Westminster Abbey, and the stunning stretches of Thames River. It is said that on clear days, one can even spot Windsor Castle from the London Eye.

London Eye is located on the south bank of River Thames, next to the London Dungeon. Being the major tourist attraction in London, most of the hop-on and hop-off buses stops at the London Eye. When I landed at Heathrow Airport cab and the cab driver, arranged by you for which I already paid and included in the package demanded 55 pounds more and I was made to pay that amount to the driver. This was informed to Mr.Prashant your contact person at London. He said he will check and do the needful. Paras from Hub Holidays was my travel planner. He had made a good package keeping in mind that my mother and me were travelling together and this was our first trip to London. With regards to Hotels, both were good and located in the center of the city which made a lot of sight seeing attractions accessible by foot for us. We got UK package for 6 nights and 7 days from CRED. And it was the best decision of Travel triangle to assign my trip to be arranged by HubHoliday. Hubholiday are too good in planning and customizing the trips especially Yeeshu who plans itinerary has been diligent in doing so. I immensely thank Mr. Prashant Daroch & Mr. Shubham Gupta for having taken keen interest and booked out tickets meticulously, our Hotel bookings were done taking into consideration the closest distance from the station, so that it was within the walking distance, the guided tours and also the pick up from the Airport in Rome, the trip to Amalfi Coast covering Ravello, Positano & Sorrento, guided tour to Pompeii from Naples, the tour to Pisa from Florence were superb. All the inter city transfers were booked by trains & there was never a hitch i.e., transfer from Rome to Naples, Naples to Florence, Florence to Padova. Even the "Hop-on & Hop-off" bus tickets were booked in Rome and it was very convenient way of seeing the place at your convenience & added convenience was that the boarding & ending points were close to our Hotel (within walking distance). The Hotels booked were very good and made our stay comfortable in every way be it food, the cleanliness & a always ambience. Mr. Prashant & Mr. Shubham were always very courteous & did their best to help us out with our itinerary , tickets, hotel booking, tours, train tickets etc and also my invoices were provided. In all our group of eight people has a fabulous tour which will forever remain etched in our memories. A wonderful job by Mr Prashant & Mr. Shubham. The duo really deserves accolades.
