The Viceregal Lodge served as the residence of Lord Dufferin, the then Viceroy of India. The architecture of this buildings depicts the English Renaissance revival. After a long time, the Viceregal Lodge came to be known as the Rashtrapati Niwas and became popular as the summer residence of the President of India. There is a museum located inside this building. It has several photographs and manuscripts of the British Colonial era.
