Hi, Our trip has been completed and it was quite good. Your services were excellent on the trip. The contact point was responsive and we were always provided good cabs and never had to wait for them. Although our travel had multiple states and a lot of road travel, the cars were never an issue. Great Work !

What are the best things to do in Sikkim?

  • Let the adventure junkie inside you out with bungee jumping at the Singshore Bridge.
  • Visit the famous Buddhist monasteries in Sikkim like the Rumtek monastery.
  • Visiting the Tsomgo Lake which is a popular spot in Gangtok
  • Ride the cable car ropeway or go paragliding in Gangtok to get an aerial view of the stunning landscape around.
  • Enjoy rafting along the river Teesta for a fun-filled experience.

What are the best shopping places to explore in Sikkim?

Gangtok has famous markets like the Lal Bazaar and MG Marg. It even has a night market which is a unique experience where one can buy artwork like wall hangings, tea, and souvenirs.

Which are the best restaurants in Sikkim?

To sample the local cuisine, one should try out the eateries which are run by locals for a more authentic experience. The famous restaurants include Mu Kimchi, Rasoi, Dekid and Gangtok.

What are the best dishes to try in Sikkim?

Momos are popular street food in Sikkim. One can also try the unique soup dishes like Gundruk and Sinki soup and the famous Thukpa. Sikkim is also famous in the world for the cheese they produce. The ring-shaped bread – Sel roti is also well known.

What To Carry

Given below is a list of things that one should pack while going on a trek:

  • Make sure to carry all the important documents like the Sikkim Inner Line Permit, trekking permit, medical history record, etc.
  • Make sure to carry thermal wear and a windproof jacket if you are trekking during the winter season.
  • Pack light cotton tees, trekking pants, extra pair of socks and undergarments, etc.
  • Always equip yourself with a personal first-aid box.
  • A spacious backpack is an absolute must during a trekking trip to keep all your essentials handy.
  • Carry toilet kit, tissues, wipes, towels, sun protection cream, etc.

  • Packing ample stock of water and some quantity of glucose is the most important point.

Safety Tips

Go through the following points to keep in mind some safety measures while trekking:

  • Always make sure to indulge in trekking in the company of a local tour guide.
  • Study the route beforehand and talk to locals about the best time to trek.
  • Always check the weather forecast before making any trekking plans.
  • Never go on trekking without ample water stock and a personal first-aid kit.
  • Focus on one step at a time and more importantly, take breaks when needed. It keeps you going.
  • Trekking poles can help you ease the strain in your ankles and heels.
  • It is best to always go trekking with some company.
  • It is recommended that you opt for travel insurance.
  • Do not go trekking with a new pair of shoes. It is always better to take the shoes that you are comfortable with and have already walked some miles.
