History of Paris

Paris has 3 major airports near it. Charles de Gaulle is an airport which is 30 km from Paris. Flights

from countries other than Europe land here. Orly Airport is the second Airport which is 18 km from Paris. It is mainly used by the European Flights. Beauvais Tillé is another Airport which is 80 km from Paris. It is used by both European Flights and trans-Atlantic Flights, low budget flights land here.

Paris is well connected from other cities in Europe and can be easily reached via trains. The express

train of Europe is the one which can take you here.

Paris has a very well developed network of public transportation. Metro subways, RER, Regional express

services and bus operate here. Metro system is very well developed and links urban areas of the city. There are 300 stations on 16 lines of metro. A tour bus- bus no. 72 can be used to take a tour of major tourist destinations. From CDG Airport one can take commuter train or RER B3 to reach here. Bus RATP 351 will also bring you here, Express shuttle bus services are also available from Beauvais Airport. From Orly Airport one can take RER B or bus RATP 183 to reach here. RER is a network of 5 express lines. There are also tourist pass available which can be bought from the nearest station.
