Year 1968 was when the first car ride was operated in Darjeeling. After two decades, it was decided to go through a major upgrade, which was performed by a joint venture between the forest development corporation of the state and a private company named Conveyor and Ropeway Service Pvt. Ltd. Then, over the year, it became the best tourist attraction in Darjeeling.

From the cable car, you will get a breathtaking view of the valley along with Little Rangeet River. There are in total five stops of the ride that will be end at Singamari Bazaar. Along the ride, you will see other amazing views such as the wide lush of tea gardens on the slop, forests, and the amazing view of eastern Himalayan living and a peak of the snowed Kanchenjunga Mountain.

There are two rivers that you will see, the first is Ramman River and the other is Little Rangeet. These both rivers will meet at the Greet Rangeet River, which connect to glacier of Kabru Mountain. The Rangeet valley is full of flowers and butterflies. It is well known for Fresh Water Fish in the area. This valley is located in Binjabari area.
