How to reach Hampi from Hyderabad is not a Herculean task as there are several Hyderabad to Hampi flights, buses, and trains, as mentioned in the account below.

By Air

Hampi has no airport. However, the closest airport to Hampi is Jindal Vijaynagar Airport in Vidyanagar, near Bellary, just 40 km away. The nearest relatively major airport is at Hubli, 143 km away from Hampi. These airports have made Hyderabad to Hampi connectivity smooth. Travelers can take a flight from Hyderabad to Vidyanagar. From Vidyanagar, they can board a bus to reach Hampi.

By Train

Hospet Railway Station is the closest to Hampi so those looking forward to reach this ancient town by train have to board a Hyderabad to Hospet train. The fastest train takes about 9 hours and the slowest, about 14 hours. Two trains - Hyderabad-Kolhapur Express (11303) and Hyderabad -Vasco/Hubli Express (17603) operate via Hospet Junction on daily basis. One more Hyderabad to Hampi train is the Goa bound Hyderabad Vasco Da Gama express (17021).

By Road

Hyderabad to Hampi distance is almost 380 km that can be covered by KSRTC daily buses. However, the frequency of buses from Hyderabad to Hospet is far better. From there one can get a local bus or even take an auto rickshaw to reach Hampi. However, those planning to hire a car for the entire trip or drive themselves, the journey will be great. A Hyderabad to Hampi bus takes almost 7-8 hours from Hyderabad to Shimoga, via Hospet.

Overall, our recent trip was good, but we encountered a few issues that dampened the experience. Some of the places we planned to visit were closed due to the early monsoon, which was disappointing. Initially, our driver was quite rude, but after we filed a complaint, his behavior improved signific

antly, making the rest of our journey much smoother. Regarding our accommodations, the stays in Coorg and Mysore were absolutely awesome. The hospitality, comfort, and ambiance in these locations were top-notch. However, our experience at Kerala Porch.inn was less than satisfactory. The manager was very rude and uncooperative. There was no lift available, and our request for hot water was outrightly rejected. Additionally, the room locker keys were not functioning properly. We were locked out of our room for 30 minutes with our family, only to be informed later that we needed to update our locker key—something that was not communicated to us earlier. Despite these challenges, we made the best of our trip and created many wonderful memories. With a few improvements, this trip could have been perfect.

Overall it went smooth but the only problem was that I had to continuously keep in touch with the agency for transferring required amount to the booked vendors coz the travel agency that I was being alotted was incapable of handling the vendors and weren't paying the amount to them on time which I a

Another problem was they were not committed to their advance payment and were randomly asking for the payments to clear their vendor's payments which shouldn't be the case as there is a limit to an advance payment you can't just ask for advance figure like that which was very annoying.
