By Air: Traveling from Ahmedabad to Rameshwaram by air is not possible since there is no airport in Rameshwaram. However, there is an airport in Madurai, which is the closest to this temple town. One can get a flight to Madurai, from where they can easily reach Rameshwaram via local buses, private taxis or trains.

By Road: Traveling from Ahmedabad to Rameshwaram by road is not a good option, since the distance is too large to cover comfortably, not to mention the fuel costs that a trip like this might incur. There are also no direct buses available, so one would have to change buses a few times to reach the place.

By Train: If planning to travel from Ahmedabad to Rameshwaram by train, the best option is to take the only direct train available.
