How to Reach Odisha

Odisha has one major international airport in Bhubaneswar which caters international and domestic flights. Biju Patnaik International Airport is the only airport in Odisha used for flying passengers from all over the world. Airlines such as IndiGo, Vistara, SpiceJet, AirIndia, AirAsia and so on operate on regular basis from different cities of India to Bhubaneswar (BBI). The airport is located at a distance of nearly 6 kilometres away from the city center.

There are several railway stations in Odisha, the premier being Bhubaneswar Railway Station in the capital city of Bhubaneswar. The railway station is well-connected to several other Indian states. Some of the major trains which ply on this route are Konark Express, Rajdhani and Coromandel Express. Travel by rail is one of the convenient methods for several tourists.

As Odisha is located in the eastern part of India, connectivity by road from northern, southern and western states directly is not possible. There are several bus stops in Odisha which cater to tourists coming from nearby cities or states. There is no direct connectivity by road from far off cities or states. Private and government-run buses ply in Odisha.
