About Vazhachal Waterfalls in Athirapally

Nothing can be more beautiful than a sight of glistening falls falling from a height of 80 feet amidst the lush green and rustic forest landscape.

When you look at Vazhachal Waterfalls, you get the same feeling and the site will remind you of a beautifully painted picture that you see on the screens of your computer. The aura around the Vazhachal waterfalls in dramatic and enchanting. Being here, you will feel close and connected to nature. The falls are located Thrissur district in the Athirappilly area of Kerala.

The wild and the natural surroundings of the Vazhachal Waterfalls will take your breath away by its beauty. The Vazhachal falls come to life during the monsoon season when they flow with full speed and the area surrounding the falls becomes greener and more exquisite. The serenity of the place makes it a good picnic spot where one can come with friends or family to enjoy the tranquility of nature and relaxing moments. The falls are located amidst the dense setting of the Sholayar ranges and at a distance of 5 km from Athirappilly falls.

Adventures like mountain climbing and trekking can be enjoyed at Vazhachal. Many adventure and nature lovers come here by trekking through the Vazhachal forest area to try the thrilling adventure of mountain climbing. Some places of interest which are located in close proximity to the falls are Silver Storm Water Park, Dream World Water Park, Charpa Falls, Malakkapara tea garden, and Chalakudy river. The entire area around the Vazhachal area has magical charm which will make you spellbound.

Athirapally and Vazhachal Waterfalls are often visited together as these are considered as the twin sisters and lies in close proximity. One should be careful while visiting the falls and should wear firm sports shoes as the area is rocky and slippery. Also, being a forest here, there are no sources of water and food here, so it is advisable to bring your own water and food supply.

My trip was kerala was arranged by Namaskaram travels. My agent Sunny was very helpful throughout the trip. However I had some bad experience through the trip. The hotel in Munnar, Grand Valley, which was given to me in a 4 star package package was not of the standard for a 4-star. The location of the hotel was 100-150 m steep down the road, which could only be reached through hotel jeep, our traveller stayed out. A good hotel but not a 4 star. The next day, my traveller broke down on our way to Thekkady and we were stuck in the middle of nowhere for a couple of hours. The agency arranged for another traveller which covered our itenary for that day and dropped us to our hotel, Woodnote, which was the best in our trip. Local arrangements were made for our siteseeing in Thekkady, which were also good. Finally, a new traveller was assigned to us for our remaining trip, with with we covered Allepy and our drop to Kochi. Overall: Traveller Experience: 2/10 Grand Valley View, Munnar: 4/10 Woodnote, Thekkady: 10/10 Time Square, Allepy: 7/10 Agent Communication: 10/10 Travel Triangle Communication: 10/10
