About Hill Fort Kesroli in Alwar

Hill Fort Kesroli is one of the primary attractions in the city of Alwar in Rajasthan.

The structure is essentially a fort pertaining to the 14th century. The place is now a heritage hotel property that is under the ownership of the Neemrana Hotels group. The place has a rich history has to it which was dwindling with time and lack of any attention or care. The project of its renovation was taken up by the said hotel chain. The place got revived in its utmost glory and the architectural crevices of it again took a breath in today’s world. After its revival and becoming a luxury property, the place got to be popularly known as the Neemrana Hill Fort Kesroli. The results of the makeover were stunning and grand enough to give the place the status of being one of the best heritage hotel properties in India.

The Hill Fort Kesroli History

The Yaduvanshi Rajputs were the group who built this fort. These people converted to Islam during the mid-14th century. This is when they got the name of Khanzadas. The structure of the fort has undergone a plethora of changes during the many centuries from when it was initially built in the 14th century. Many came and conquered the place, hence the changes in the structure and designs. The Mughals ruled when they conquered the place and the Jat community later got a hold of it. Later, Hill Fort Kesroli Alwar came under the rule of the Rajput clan in the year 1775. This is the time around when the princely state of Alwar came into being. Many came and ruled, but during the reign of Ranawat Thakur Bhawani Singh (1882–1934), the fort saw great times which is denoted by many as the golden period of the Hill Fort of Kesroli.

Neemrana Kesroli Hill Fort Architecture

The fort is known for its amazing architectural features and designs that are resplendent in the forms of turrets, ramparts, and arched verandahs. There are seven turrets in the fort and the design and structure of them and the remaining fort have undergone many changes under the different rules and kingdoms. In the year 2004, the fort was leased to Neemrana Hotels group owned by Aman Nath and Francis Wacziarg. The duo renovated the place and gave it a facelift. The fort now is a heritage hotel property with a luxurious and quintessential ambiance.

My entire trip to Rajasthan was excellent. The driver provided by the travel agent was very courteous and skilled. Special thanks to Preeti from Back to Holiday for her constant support and helpful coordination throughout the journey. Visiting Udaipur and Jaipur Fort, exploring Bikaner Fort, and enjoying the sand dunes of Jaisalmer with thrilling bike rides and camel rides.

Hemant's 4 days trip to Alwar

We had a wonderful experience booking our *Udaipur–Chittorgarh–Pushkar–Jaipur (Rajasthan Mewar)* trip through Aapka TripWala via Travel Triangle. Chirag from the tour company was extremely helpful from the very beginning. He carefully understood our requirements, as we were travelling with our 3-year-old, and tailored the itinerary perfectly for us. He also arranged our flight tickets and hotel bookings with ease. The hotels chosen for us were exceptional in comfort, location, and service, making our stay truly memorable. Our driver, *Mr. Nandu Singh*, made the journey stress-free and pleasant from the moment he picked us up at the airport until the final drop-off. He kept us informed about possible scams at tourist spots, was always patient and courteous (even when delays happened because of our little one), and greeted us each day with a warm smile. We really appreciated that he never pushed us toward any particular shop or market. Travelling with him was an absolute delight, and his professionalism enhanced our overall trip experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-organized, trustworthy, and family-friendly travel experiene.

Binoy's 4 days trip to Alwar

We are really grateful to Preeti Sharma from Back 2 Holidays for planning such a wonderful trip of Udaipur and Mount Abu. Initially we were sceptical about all the commitments given by Preeti, but to our complete surprise, everything what she has promised was honoured. Right from the hotel room, view, the cab, the tour plan was as committed. We are super delighted as it was my bday tour and wanted this to be special and would like to thank Preeti Sharma , the cab driver Kamlesh , who ensure we had the best experience of the lake city and Mt. Abu. Breathing Taking Hotel View, Dinner at Kamma Ghani , City palace and Mt. Abu Morning.

Devyani's 7 days trip to Alwar

We had a memorable trip to Rajasthan booked through Travel Triangle, though our experience was somewhat mixed. The cab driver assigned to us was truly dedicated and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Every restaurant he recommended was excellent, and the sightseeing throughout the journey was absolutely fabulous. That said, I would advise exercising caution when booking 4-star accommodations through the agent. It's important to clarify that we were referring to official hotel ratings, not guest reviews. Unfortunately, the agent’s interpretation did not match ours. Three out of the five hotels had ongoing renovation work, which significantly affected our comfort. Although the agent did try to make changes to minimize the inconvenience, the replacement hotels were not of genuine 4-star quality either. The most disappointing experience was the camping stay at Juma Resort in Jaisalmer. The property was infested with crickets, making it uninhabitable. Four families, including ours, ended up leaving the resort and paying out of pocket for alternative accommodation. Unfortunately, this was not even communicated to the travel agent at the time. On a positive note, our request for a rollaway bed for our daughter was fulfilled as expected, which we appreciated. In summary, while the itinerary and driver exceeded our expectations, the hotel arrangements — particularly the Jaisalmer experience — left considerable room for improvement.
