About Mcleodganj Tourism (Dharamshala)

Mcleodganj in Himachal offers everything a traveller can ask from the Himalayas: spirituality, serenity, and sublimity.

A winding road through the Pine tree tunnels on the Dhauladhar mountains leads travellers to Mcleodganj, which is located 10 kilometers north of Dharamshala. Essentially a hilly suburb of Dharamshala, Mcleodganj retains a colonial charm while emanating Tibetan vibes.

Sightseeing in Mcleodganj

Also known as Little Lhasa or Dhasa, Mcleodganj is a spiritual paradise where Buddhism prevails from lifestyle to cuisine. It is the seat of Tibetan government-in-exile and the residence of the 14th Dalai Lama. Honeymooners, hipsters, volunteers, mountaineers, filmmakers, and families visit this hill station to seek their definition of nirvana. Bhagsunath Temple and St. John in the Wilderness Church are some of the popular places to visit in Mcleodganj.

Most Mcleodganj tourism packages offer a visit to attractions in Dharamsala and the Kangra Valley. A visit to Tsuglhakhang Complex, better known as the Dalai Lama Temple, is mandatory for those looking for a glimpse of Buddhism and Tibet. Once you’ve bow before Buddha, shop for souvenirs and trinkets sold by local vendors along the temple road and sample mouth-watering momos. Plan an excursion to the well-known Triund Hill and Dal Lake to take in nature’s best offerings.

Trekking Tours in Mcleodganj

The Dhauladhar range in Dharamshala is a favourite spot for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. Triund Trek and Kareri Lake Trek are ideal for beginners and nature lovers. It takes about 6 hours to trek from Mcleodganj to Triund top. On the other hand, Indrahar Pass Trek allows perfect thrills for mountain dwellers.

Camping in Mcleodganj

Tourists can enjoy camping at several spots in the town of Mcelodganj. Triund and Upper Dharamkot are the most popular spots for overnight camping. Adventure lovers can also pitch their own tent at Kareri Lake and on the route to Indrahar Pass. Several budget hotels in Mcleodganj also provide camping in their premises at nominal rates.

Paragliding in Mcleodganj

Ganesh's 2 days trip to Dharamshala

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Travel on ease during our Corporate trip to Nainitaal and Jim Corbett. From the moment we started to the day we departed, everything was seamlessly organized and thoughtfully executed. One of the standout aspects was the dedicated WhatsApp group they created for our trip. It served as a real-time support system, with prompt responses and proactive guidance throughout. Each agent and driver we interacted with was not only professional but also incredibly caring and friendly, making us feel safe and well looked after. The itinerary was perfectly curated, and the facilities they booked were top-notch—comfortable, clean, and ideally located. Whether it was pickups by 40 seater Volvo for our group, local transfers, or sightseeing, everything ran like clockwork. We didn’t face a single issue during the entire 4-days journey, which is a testament to their meticulous planning and commitment to customer satisfaction. I wholeheartedly recommend Travel on ease to anyone looking to plan a stress-free, memorable vacation. Their attention to detail and personalized service truly enhanced our travel experience.

Dinessh's 8 days trip to Dharamshala

Positive 1. Calm Driver 2. Rooms are good but could have been better 3. On call support - friendly staff 4. Dinner and breakfast was good Could be better 1. The price was higher than other providers they gave better rooms as well 2. No honeymoon inclusions were made but charged 3. Rohtang pass was 500 online but it charged 2000+ 4. The schedule given was not followed properly 5. Rooms were very far from the city, better rooms were there at the same price 6. The driver deviated from the agenda and took us to a potato research farm in Shimla which we find useless 7. Payment at the hotel and to the driver was very new, rather than taken care earlier
