About Trekking in Dharamshala

Trekking in Dharamshala is a major attraction for those in love with the adrenaline rush that comes from scaling heights and watching the snow peaked mountains come closer to you as you walk towards them.

The beautiful lush green trails keep you company, as well as the burbling brooks that fall down from a height of several hundred meters and offer a respite from the hot afternoon sun. There are several trekking trails in Dharamshala, including the Triund Trek, Kareri Lake Trek, the Indrahar Pass Trek and the Kangra Valley Trek among others. Some of the treks in Dharamshala such as the Triund Trek can be covered in a day, and that too without a guide. However, some of the other treks such as the Kareri Lake Trek and the Indrahar Pass Trek need to be comfortably covered in a few days, and preferably with a guide. Food shacks are available all over the trekking trail, at designated spots, and you can enjoy a brief stop here before carrying on forward. Places to set up camp are also available, and if you are not carrying your own tents then you can hire them from the nearby shacks.

Depending upon your fitness level and how much time you can spend in the wilderness, choose an ideal trek for you, and embark on a journey to explore the forestland and mountains of Dharamshala.

Positive 1. Calm Driver 2. Rooms are good but could have been better 3. On call support - friendly staff 4. Dinner and breakfast was good Could be better 1. The price was higher than other providers they gave better rooms as well 2. No honeymoon inclusions were made but charged 3. Rohtang pass was 500 online but it charged 2000+ 4. The schedule given was not followed properly 5. Rooms were very far from the city, better rooms were there at the same price 6. The driver deviated from the agenda and took us to a potato research farm in Shimla which we find useless 7. Payment at the hotel and to the driver was very new, rather than taken care earlier
